The 2024 Democratic National Convention was a veritable who’s who of movie star sightings, with stars displaying up in drive to help Vice President Kamala Harris and vice presidential nominee Tim Walz.

Kerry Washington
Scandal actress Kerry Washington served as host for the remaining night time of the DNC. Grammy and Academy Award winner Stevie Surprise on Wednesday carried out his 1972 tune “Higher Ground.” Prior to performing, Surprise preached a message of unity.
“We must keep on keeping on until we are truly a united people of these United States and then we will reach a higher ground,” Surprise mentioned.

Mindy Kaling

Amanda Gorman
National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman debuted her new poem “This Sacred Scene” Wednesday. In 2021, the Harvard graduate delivered a reading of her poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Joe Biden’s inauguration, making Gorman the youngest inaugural poet in American history.

Lynda Carter
Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter was spotted at the DNC on Wednesday, where she posed with excited fans. Carter recently enthusiastically endorsed Harris for president.

Sean Astin
Rudy and The Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin joined the Indiana delegation on Tuesday’s roll call to help cast its 86 delegates for Harris and Walz. “I want what’s best for Indiana. That means electing Kamala Harris the first woman president of the United States of America,” Astin said.

Stephen Colbert

Common
On Tuesday, Grammy- and Academy Award-winning rapper Common performed his 2024 track “Fortunate,” adapting his lyrics to embody a message about Vice President Kamala Harris. The Chicago native was joined by gospel singer Jonathan McReynolds throughout the refrain.
